What pods does my Mandarin need?

Mandarins will eat both Tigriopus Californicus and Tisbe Bimmienis sp. copepods. Aquarists have their favorites and depending on the livestock in your aquarium one might be recommended over the other. Tigriopus Californicus float freely in the water column, are brighter in color and have a swimming pattern that is irresistible to fish. Tisbe Bimmienis are bottom-dwelling and hide is rocks. The Mandarin is a very active hunter and is able to find pods within the rock unlike many other species of fish.
